FAQ's

We understand when shipping something as valuable as your vehicle you may have questions. Our team is knowledgeable and we use the most innovative technology to give you the best solutions.

Requesting a quote is easy. It takes just a few minutes with some basic information to receive a quote. When your ready to move forward, just tell us the first available date for transport along with the point of contacts, phone numbers and addresses. Our dispatch team will follow up to introduce the driver and give the estimated time of arrival at the origin and destination. Once the vehicle is delivered,  just pay the driver cash or certified funds. It’s just that simple.

Yes, our carriers are fully insured to meet all State and Federal requirements. The driver will inspect the vehicle with the customer for any damage that may have occurred during the transport. If damage should occur, the customer should report this damage on the Bill of Lading. The insurance company will need this to process the claim.

Secure or remove any loose parts or specialty items such as ground effects, spoilers, fog lights, or wide mirrors. Repair or seal any tears or open seams on convertible tops to prevent fast-moving air from causing further damage. The radiator needs to have an adequate level of fresh anti-freeze to protect your vehicle from cold weather. Be sure that the battery is secure and  has no leaks. Leave only about a 1/4 tank of gas in the vehicle, No flat tires and vehicle should be operable with keys and ready for transport.

Auto Carriers are not licensed to transport household goods, While the answer is usually a no, many carriers will allow up to 100 pounds of personal items in a vehicle. However, it’s important to know that not all carriers offer this, and there are restrictions on what household items you can put in your vehicle. ABSOLUTELY NO firearms, hazardous materials, illegal substances or contraband.

A coast to coast vehicle transport trip usually takes from 7 to 10 days. Shorter auto shipping trips can take from 1 to 7 days, depending on the distance. Traffic, DOT regulations, check points, weigh stations, inclement weather, truck breakdowns, seasonal fluctuations and other unforeseen events may delay the auto shipping of your vehicle. Pickup and delivery dates are estimated but are not guaranteed. If either your origination or destination locations are in a remote area, then you may consider meeting the driver in a nearby major city to increase your chances of shipping in a more timely fashion.

Vehicle(s) will be transported via multiple car haulers, flat beds, or enclosed trailers depending on the specifications needed for the transport. Most common vehicles being transported long distance can be loaded on a multi-car hauler. Oversized vehicles may need a flat bed depending on the weight and dimensions. Enclosed trailers are recommended for vehicles such as luxury, excotic and vintage automobiles.

The vehicle will be picked up/delivered as close to the pick up/deliver location as possible. Occasionally, the maneuverability of these large transport carriers or local government regulations will not allow the auto hauler to come directly to their home. In these cases, an alternate site will be selected that contains a large parking lot, such as a shopping mall.

Somebody should be present at both the pickup and delivery of the vehicle(s) or the customer may designate a person to act as the point of contact in their absence to complete the auto transporting process. Keys also may be left in a secure place for the driver. Pictures should be taken at both locations along with the Vehicle Condition Report.

The Vehicle Condition Report is a part of the Bill of Lading. The Condition Report documents the condition of the vehicle at the time the Driver takes custody of it. Before the Driver loads the vehicle, he will fill out a Condition Report that will note the condition of the vehicle at the time he receives it. The Shipper or authorized agent will need to verify the notations made and sign an agreement. The Shipper should receive a copy of this Condition Report before the vehicle leaves the point of origin. Claims of damage at destination will be based on the condition of the vehicle, as reported, before it was transported.

The Bill of Lading serves as a receipt for your vehicle and it represents the contract of carriage between you, as the shipper, and the Carrier. The Driver will give a copy of the Bill of Lading at the time the vehicle is picked up. The Bill of Lading is an important document that must be signed by the driver and by the shipper or their agent at the location and to whom and where it is delivering, plus all pertinent telephone numbers. Review the Bill of Lading to make sure that the place of delivery is shown correctly, and that the Bill of Lading contains the name, address, and telephone number where the Shipper or authorized agent can be notified of problems and possible delays while the vehicle is in transit. The Bill of Lading should also have the name, address, and telephone number of the Carrier. Legally, the Carrier must utilize a Bill of Lading and give a copy of it before the vehicle leaves the point of origin.

“Carlos worked hard to get our vehicle safely delivered. A series of storms delayed shipping across the southern states in late March, and we were in a less regularly traveled route. Carlos reached out to use to make certain we knew he was still working on getting our vehicle picked up and delivered to its destination.  The vehicle was safely picked up and delivered by a well qualified and professional driver. I would definitely recommend this company.”
